Hey everyone! I recently made a tutorial of how to make your own topo maps for your property and I think this is the place to post it. This will definitely work for people in the United States and Canada. I think maps are available for the whole world but the detail level available will vary.
I know for us, getting some good maps as a starting point to our earthworks and infrastructure planning was important and also frustrating. I hope that this is easy to follow. Questions and feedback is welcome.
It's also important to note that the maps are more detailed than I show in the video. I ended up discovering that after I made the video. If you look carefully you can see that the contour lines are 1m elevation lines which is pretty good.
