Black locust seed for chicken feed!?
Does someone have expires feeding chicke with black locust seeds?

It is NOT toxic to every livestock that eats it. Cows, Sheep, Goats, Pigs all do fine with BL. Chickens can digest the seeds"
I think this could be really intresting because seeds of black locust usually only germinate with heat. And they can survive for over 40 years in the ground. This means they accumulate in "the soil seed bank " over the years.
I red about that this seed bank are used to harvest seeds for nursery. They say you just have to remove the top 5cm of soil and sift out the seeds. Sadly i can't finde the sorce of this now...
So mabe you could "grase" a black locust forest from time to time with chicken.
