A two-day course covering the essentials needed for an endlessly rewarding adventure.

This course has been specifically designed for people wishing to buy land upon which they intend to create a sustainable lifestyle. Whilst being a positive fulfilment of long-dreamt plans, this change of lifestyle can also seem quite daunting when you are suddenly having to recognise and accommodate your needs successfully. The subjects covered in the course include –

Land Observation and Evaluation - learning to "read" your landscape.

The Permaculture Perspective
- an introduction to the principles and design methods of this holistic approach to sustainability.

Soil - how to assess and improve it.

Sustainable Living - developing self-sufficiency in food and energy

Greywater Systems - creating a constructed wetland treatment pond

Organic and Ecological Gardening
- working with nature to produce....

Building with Natural Materials - adobe, strawbale, cordwood...

Food Preserving
- drying, storing, bottling, pickling etc.

Land Design Skills
– how to represent your ideas on paper.

Places are limited. To reserve a place on the course, contact us either through our email address - mail@varzeavivapermaculture.com - or by telephone (00351) 282 995060. Evenings are best for telephone calls.

Check out our website for more courses and workshops!
