I had always very mixed feelings about bushcare I love th bush but I don't belive that weeds are a major problem compared to everything else. I want to read more critical voices for the Aussie situation. Is it true that weeds are taking over just because the seeds/plants are there or is it the degeneration of the soils the urbanisation and the decline of bigger animals? I don't see many if at all weeds deeper in the bush. I am appaled that bushcare only takes a lip service against herbicides and do not take action against it. I am growing herbs and sell them and these very nice ladies come and tell me which of them are weeds. Often they mix up one with the other. I think we need herbs and edible plants and we need the selection of it otherwise I would grow native plants (would be easier anyway). Not that I don't like the bush but I don't like the argument native good non native bad, but I have too little background knowledge. They say that along the cliff faces close to houses thhey rip out a lot of weeds. Any reading for the Aussie situation? Maybe I'm wrong and weeds are a major problem but all I read was one side only.

An ecosystem is a system were humankind does not intervene - right? A managed ecosystem is a garden.
