Good morning folks - I haven't seen anything specific to this topic so I thought I'd start a new thread

Does anyone have any pictures of different things folks have done to their barrels to 'tart them up'?  I managed to borrow a copy of the RMH book for the moment - (waiting for payday to buy one) but I couldn't see much of a reference for the barrel apart from folks have also made them out of hot water tanks, brick, steel barrels of course and cob.

Any how ... I came across this last night - Called a stove pipe sham.

Wondered if anyone had done something similar for their barrel?

Another question - from the book it mentions using hot water tanks as an alternative to steel drums.  This doesn't mean the copper water tanks found in some homes does it?

I've never seen those before but they are really pretty.  I don't think they are wide enough for the barrel but it is inpiring.  I was trying to think of ways to make it pretty too.  I haven't built mine yet but I imagine if one were any good with a welder you could spruce it up quite nicely.
