I cant seem to find anything about cold pressing on the Permaculture forum. I know its not that related to PC but I'm wondering whether it is a good source of farm income and how to cold press. I'll be looking into Cold pressing in the coming weeks and I'll post any reliable data & material I come across on this post.

In the mean time - some experience or info to share anyone?

There is a decent primer on sunflower oil available on the Journey to Forever website, originally from Organic Gardening magazine http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel_library/oilpress.html

I recently learned of a hand cranked oil press being made in the Netherlands, while I don't think oil production levels with it would be considered all that "profitable" in the western 1st world countries but it might be a stepping stone for you.

Please note that this is not yet a personal recommendation of this company or product, but I am scheming to get myself one.

HA! Both of the links I provided were already provided elsewhere on the forum

There is also this farmer pressing his own to fuel his farm engines and sells presses
