Hi folks! Some time ago--I want to say about early 2016--I stumbled on a post in here that had a link to a site that had excerpts from a bunch of old articles and letters-to-the-editor about biochar. This material was from the early to mid 1800s. There was a lot of material there, too; it took me about three evenings to read through it all.

I can't seem to find it anymore :0( Does anyone on here know/remember what I'm talking about and know where that site is? I'd like to reference it for something I'm working on and for a researcher friend on a KNF group elsewhere.

Thanks!

At the top of the page it says "Permies" and under that should be several things listed... upper left, first, is "Search" then "Home", "Pie", "Recent Topics" etc. Click Search. A search page should come up. In the first box, type Biochar. Hit enter. It should serve you about 120-130 topics on just over two pages, most recent first. Last two on last page go to about 2009. Search through there and you should find what you are looking for.  On each descriptive insert it does give roughly the last time someone posted to it. Also if you know about when you last posted to one of those, near the bottom on the search page is a bit that says (my own posts) if you click that it will give you options for how far back, etc, which will help you narrow. I just took a look, there's not that many really to scan through...you should be able to find what you wish.

Hi Deb, thanks for the quick response.

I did do some digging for a while a few weeks back. I don't know that I'll be able to slog through every page of every topic on this board, though. I was hoping that someone remembers the page I'm talking about.

Then look on that search list for stuff for say April 2016 and go down the list (backwards in time) from there. It may cut your search a lot. Hopefully just the blurb for that entry will give you enough information to know you've found it.
