An act of creativity comes from "hey, you know what would be cool?"

A bit of fun.

A bit of enthusiasm.

A few days of "this is gonna be so great!  Everybody is gonna love this!"

And it is crushed by one person being nasty for five seconds.

Come on Paul, don't be so down about this.

You know what they say about the definition of insanity, right? It's doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. So we change things up... You've got help here, we're backing you up with all our enthusiasm and grit.

Time for a Mollisonism; "The map is not the territory"

Nothing in this universe stays the same for long.    This person is not an elephant stepping on an anthill, but one grain of sand trying to block the flood.

Permie man > phone booth (whats this?) > dons cape > exits phone booth (whats this?) > becomes super permie man!!!

Sadly this can be true - and even people just feeling like their call in life is to be the negative counter-point to other peoples rough beginnings of a new forming idea.  The negative naysayers falsely believe this makes them look 'wise'.

Many things need productive brainstorming to reach maturity - I'd like to think permies is the place to come and find others who are willing to brainstorm with you toward a solution we can all benefit from, and not just a place to have your parade rained on.
Happily this is mostly a positive and supportive place without trolling nasty types.

What's her name? You know. The fish girl. Ariel? She has a tiny ad.
