I found this plant, which matches the description of wild lettuce but im not confident that I have correctly identified it. The plant was found at the edge of some scrub and suburbia

Does it bleed latex? Except for the yellow colored buds, it makes me the more of chicory. Have the buds opened yet?

Definitely bleeds white latex, also it was found in Australia, kinda forgot that important bit

Oh OK. It may be a wild lettuce then. It doesn't look much like the wild lettuce I've seen here.

I thought it showed great resemblance to lactuca serriola but im very inexperienced
