BRK Day 61

Scott and I spent most of the morning building the tops for the small gates around the Abby, and made it back in time to mulch a couple potatoes.
After lunch, Orin showed me how to do game cams so I can pick up the torch once he becomes an ant (on Monday!)

BRK Day 62

Lots of new growth on my plot! My tangle foot didn't quite hold up so I built some sturdier fences yesterday.

Today is Orin's last day as a boot, it's going to be weird with him being gone. But he's going on to become an ant and I'm excited to watch his adventures. You can follow them too here

Thanks for fencing my tree, Clayton!  It doesn't look so bad.  When you posted before about the deer attack, I feared the worst!  :)

Yes, it'll pull through. Unfortunately one of the others wasn't so lucky.. it's stripped of leaves but it has a few buds so we'll see what happens

BRK Day 63

Spent the better part of the day harvesting trees today. Hopefully, next weekend will be spent peeling and treating the bases, then the weekend after that I'll be able to really start (continue?) construction on the 10x10.

BRK Day 64

Spent yesterday gardening and moving some wood to the lab for future hugels, as well as planning the position of some more hugels to go in around the Abby.

BRK Day 65

Yesterday morning we went to the Abby and peeled some logs and laid out the first layer of a bunch more hugels
After lunch me and Fred went up and gave the raspberries at raspberry rock (10 survivors) a dose of compost tea and water, then went and found a few more fruit trees up on Plum Plateau while Josiah fixed up Judy with some fluids.
