Mixing Breeds of Rabbits?

I was gifted a Flemish giant/ continental mix doe about a year ago from my friend who knew I wanted to get into meat rabbits. She is just the sweetest girl, and an attention hog.
A year has gone by, our hutches are finished and I want to get a buck. My friend no longer has rabbits, but I was looking around and found a lady with New Zealand’s.

So my questions are.... can I breed my Flemish giant/ continental doe  with a New Zealand buck? And what would the meat be like?

It should not be a problem unless the doe is extremely larger than the buck. Because your goal is meat bread characteristics are not of concern and the mixed genetics generally gives more vigorous offspring and you are starting with genetics for larger size. Remember the doe may defend her space so bring the doe to the buck. There are Youtube videos on what to expect in the mating process.
