Hello everyone. I am not trying to promote myself on here but I did want to put my name out on here so yall can be aware of whats going on in Georgia. My name is Ben Marchman. I am a former Ecologist (Habitat Restoration Specialist) and have a background in Eco/Wilderness Therapy. For the past 5 years I have been teaching full time as well as doing Permaculture Design as a consultant and teaching it. Anyways, I have been turning my homestead into a Permaculture Demonstration Site and designing a new business. My goal is to start up this new business and have it focus on building stronger Nature Connection Modeling and Permaculture concepts within the neighboring community by working on culture repair and enhancing environmental stewardship values. Lately, I have been working with schools to do this and found it successful.....more to come from this model later.
So.....why I am posting on here!..... I want to try and create a series of workshops that not only helps speed up the installation process at my homestead but also build up the permaculture community here in GA. My first workshop is this July and the focus is on Cob Building. It is hosted by my friend Alex Sumerall and I am just playing host

Does anyone have ideas on how to engage local communities as well as sort of start like a coalition of Permaculturalists, farmers, etc that can work together to start Permaculture Demonstration Sites within a township and/or county? I want other people to see what I am doing so they will strive to do the same thing and this can eventually create like a network of multiple homsteads, farms, etc that have tour sites....sort of like a Permaculture Demonstration Site Tour Circuit...or something of that related matter.
