Hi Folks,

My wife and I are planning a 1 week trip to North Carolina or South Carolina in July this year where we hope to look at a few parts of the state to see if we might like setting up a homestead there.

The general plan is to move out to a general area we like, get a 9 to 5 job and be renters until we can find place to buy and then over a few years, transition to full time homesteading with multiple revenue streams.

We're thinking somewhere within an hour or so from someplace where I can find work as an IT/SW Project Manager/Agile Scrum Master which is also in an area where we could have a few acres zoned for farming and raising animals.

Any suggestions on towns or counties we could look at would be greatly appreciated.

i'd love to help you help me, so please feel free to ask for more details.

Thanks,
Mike and Deb
