I brought back to fruit a 30 tree orchard that was planted by "johnny appleseed" in up state N.Y., those trees were around 125 years old and had been neglected for over 50 years.
Trees do die from old age, but most will live to around 200 unless they are grafted trees.
In France there are pear trees that still produce that are known to be 250 years old,
apple trees that are almost 300 also produce there.
These trees are well cared for all year long though by a staff that has been doing it since they were 14-15 years old.
