Crafting a food forest

Good day!
I'm seeking advice on companion plants, to layer in with some fruit trees for beginning a food forest.
Trees that we have so far include: Limon/lemon, damascos/ apricot, arazà is arazà, bergamota/ bergamot, y madarino/Mandarin.
What do you think?

How much space do you have to work with?   When thinking companion plants I don't usually thonk taller, but most of those trees are on the small side. Where I live, citros does fairly well under taller trees.
