Kidsfest 2011 slated for August 2 at Caras Park

Kids and kids at heart are invited to join Missoula Parks and Recreation for Kidsfest 2011, a free summer celebration for Missoula youth, at Caras Park on Tuesday, August 2, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission and most activities are free.

Kidsfest features games, arts and crafts, educational booths, the Parks and Recreation climbing wall and mini tennis, face painting, the SpectrUM Discovery Area, Westside Lanes carpet bowling, raffle drawing with great prizes, food and beverage vendors and many more fun activities for all ages.  Live music will be featured on the Caras Park stage. Fresh 104.5 FM will be broadcasting live from Kidsfest.

Parking is very limited at Caras Park.  Families may park McCormick Park and walk across the Orange Street Bridge to Caras Park. For downtown parking options, visit Missoula Parking Commission on the web at http://www.ci.missoula.mt.us/index.aspx?nid=462. ; Families can also ride the Mountain Line downtown—kids ride free on the Mountain Line through August 31.  Call Mountain Line at 721-3333 for route info.  Call 721-PARK or visit www.missoulaparks.org for more information about Kidsfest.
