There are 100-200 acres available, accessible by roads, located near sharbot lake, 45 min from kingston On. We are seeking those who would like to develop/practice permaculture on the land. This may include raising  livestock, the land is divided into fenced pastures. There are hay fields, and about 40 cows that presently roam in some parts.  Natural buildings may be built without permits under 10 square meters. My goal in the furture is to regroup people to develop sustainable practices in perhaps an ecovillage setting and/or educational center. I have also had interest in starting a YWAM base (youth with a mission). There is a large barn on the property with electricity, farm equipment for rent (tractor, atv, bailer etc.) There is a horse that can also be used (by the right person ofcourse). We also have chickens, and would appreciate help in that regard in exchange for eggs.
if you have animals for pasture, or would like to start a market garden, or have any other proposal please contact us! Please provide a proposal for the amount of land you would like to rent, what you can give financially in exchange, or barter,  the amount of time you plan to use the property, your backround, experience, future goals,  where you live. Will you be seeking accommodations here or elsewhere?
Presently, this opoutunity is ideal for someone who has a part-time job in kingston, and can provide thier own accommodations.

Funny, the kids and I have been looking at Kingston as a possible place to relocate. If you decide you'd like to start building community with others on your land I'd be interested. I'll keep you in mind if we end up in your area in any case.

Whoa!  We just moved from the Sharbot Lake area. I worked at the Health clinic p/t could not find f/t so moved up to Sioux Lookout last year. We wanted to build a cob home on my mom's vacant property. We need to stay in touch, it should be easy as most of our family is from Sharbot Lake.

I grew up on a farm near Battersea, not too far from Sharbot Lake. If you have questions, let me know!
