Thank you to everyone for contributing to the Community Orchard of West Seattle by joining us at our last work party and at the 4th Annual Edible Garden Tour organized in conjunction with the Community Harvest of South Seattle.

Your involvement helps to complete a circle of sustainability this orchard can provide for years to come.

Our next class and work party is happening this Saturday, July 16th 10am
Managing Property Next to a Greenbelt - Tracking Critters in the Urban Garden -- 07/16/2011

Animal trails are all around us and all it takes are careful eyes and a little practice to spot them.  Come see how common species interact with their local environment, including our gardens and orchards.

Instructor: Pete McGlenn, West Seattle Tracker

Please RSVP at this link:

The class is held in the LHO Rm 2 located at the North end of the South Seattle Community College campus near the Arboretum and the Chinese Garden.  We meet at 10am and break about 12noon for a potluck social.  Then please join us for a walk and work party through the orchard til about 2 or 3pm.  Pete can guide us on some tracking tips "in the field," there may be some more plantings, a bit o' weed maintenance and harvesting!!

Please come, learn and share in a building community for sustainable living in the Northwest!
