I grew a Chicken of the Woods mushroom that looks like Godzilla. LOL

Ok, check out this weirdo. I mean the mushroom. If you look at it just right, it looks like Godzilla stomping his leg down.  ;)

Laetiporus sulphureus, grown on sterilized substrate, fruiting from inside the sealed bag.



The bipedally-shaped growth is due to bacterial exposure in the air. This was grown in open air in an unfinished basement. I moved this bag and a couple of others like it into my fruiting chamber, to give them a nicer spot to develop more fully.

A fruiting body on grain-only substrate? And I though (from online research) it didn't even fruit on lignin-rich substrates in artificial conditions.

That's awesome!

Have did that one grow? Do you have even better success with other bags?
