I want to gain hands on experience with Fungi.

I have recently bought and read the book Mycellium Running, and if I wasn't a mycophile before, I sure am now! So, I would really like to know if there is a place where I could come by some useful practical knowledge on using fungi in their different ways. I'm thinking, mycoremediation, using mycorrhizal fungi, mycopesticides, etc. Preferably in Europe, but not necessarily. WWOOFing would be ideal, but I am more than willing to pay my own food and sleep in a tent to be able to learn more about this.

Does anyone know about a place where I could learn?

Hello Berry,
I saw your post and eight year ago felt exactly the same way, and found no real answer, so i set out on my own, have worked on mushrooms farms and done research projects ranging from remediation surveys to developing low-tech culturing techniques. This year i have started hosting workshops in the Northwest and now offer a schedule of workshops here in Eugene, Oregon, one of which is a 3 day workshop this upcoming February concerning culturing, medicinal uses and preparation, and remediation practices. Try joining a local mushroom club or mycological society, there are usually a few cultivators in each one. Membership is usually cheap.
