Hello Berry,
I saw your post and eight year ago felt exactly the same way, and found no real answer, so i set out on my own, have worked on mushrooms farms and done research projects ranging from remediation surveys to developing low-tech culturing techniques. This year i have started hosting workshops in the Northwest and now offer a schedule of workshops here in Eugene, Oregon, one of which is a 3 day workshop this upcoming February concerning culturing, medicinal uses and preparation, and remediation practices. Feel free to visit my blog at www.fungiforthepeople.wordpress.com , in the spring i will be hosting 3 day workshops in Olympia, Washington; Arlington, Virgina; and most likely my native Detroit, Michigan.
the illustrious Paul Stamets also offers some higher dollar workshops at his place, probably worth checking out as well. www.radicalmycology.wordpress.com is hosted by some friends of mine and is also a good resource.
be wild, be well,
Ja
