Community at the Confluence is August 14 and offers a free day of family fun at the Clark Fork. Please pass the word along to your contacts!
Join Friends of 2 Rivers for a day of family fun at the 7th annual Community at the Confluence on August 14 at the old Milltown Dam site and home of the new Milltown State Park. Admission is free.
Take Hwy 200 E to Tamarack Road and follow the signs.
The festivities start at 11 a.m. with a program about Animal Adaptations by Animal Wonders. At 1:15 the Blue Mountain Music Makers open for Jack Gladstone, Native “Poet Singer.”
Family Activities and displays by Bear Aware, Watershed Education Network, Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Bonner-Milltown History Center, Milltown Garden Patch, the Natural Resource Damage Program, Missoula County Weed District, and the Sierra Club held throughout the day plus nature treasure hunts and a silent auction.
Enjoy concessions at Community Picnic featuring bison burgers, brats and fresh corn-on-the-cob, and Indian Tacos. Or bring a picnic lunch.
This natural resource festival is sponsored by Friends of 2 Rivers, the Charles Engelhard Foundation and the Cinnabar Foundation and the Missoula Independent.
