Identifying Acacia tree

I ran across this Acacia tree in a parking lot in Paso Robles, California. If you know "Paso" you know it's a hot and dry place that gets rain once a year and then is hot most of the summer.  It's a parking lot tree. It has no competition for ground water but it doesn't get much of it due to the asphalt. I think it will do well on my property, so I collected this seed pod. It's about a foot long, I broke off the tip to extract one of the seeds. Seed a little green still, so I'm leaving the pod until November and then I'll get the seeds out. But I sure would love to find the name of this tree.  The leaves are bi-pinnate, and very small, though there is a lot of them.  The seed pods are wavy, not curly.  They last a good long while in a state of yellow before drying and then falling off.  The tree I saw was only about 5 inches in diameter on the trunk and was about 15 to 20 feet tall. Nice shade.

First photo is the seed pod, the other is of the tree leaves, not sure if you can make them out.  Anyone know what kind of Acacia this is?
