I cook with SS foods that I don't want to put in cast iron such as tomatoes or fish. You are right that using a little oil for cooking meats is a good idea. I have found that you can use quite a bit less oil than you would using cast iron. For cleaning I just stick with hand washing with a scrubbie not because of any of the reasons you mentioned but because it saves space for plates and other kitchen items more annoying to wash than a pan.

I'm speaking from experience here, not giving medical advice.

We have seen reversal of food allergies due to re-population of the gut with beneficial organisms. I've experienced better digestion, which I think is because of the digestive enzymes in fermented foods. I have felt instant relief from seasonal allergies after drinking a glass of Kombucha or water kefir. Beet kvass can help with regularity.

Just to name a few.

What food allergies did eating fermented foods seem to improve? Anything to do with a peanut allergy?

I bought some at the Clark Fork Organics (or was it Bitterroot Organics?) stand at the Clarkfork Market near the Higgins street bridge a couple weekends ago. I ate about half of them and planeted the rest. I am interested in seeing how they do in my semi xerascaped front yard.
