Thanks everybody! I am moving and don’t have many glass jars anymore, but will try.

I put a bunch of beans there freezer because I had weevils and want to get rid of them. Some of the bags of beans had never been opened. How long sloths I leave them in the freezer and can I thaw them out and leave them in the bag like before I froze them? Thanks

All of them are in different plastic or burlap bags. Should I dump them out of the bags or store them in the bags in the buckets? I assumed I would have to dump the rice out.

I am moving. I have 49 pounds of rice in my freezer that has been there since Covid. It is organic brown, Basmati, and Jasmine. I bought large food grade (3) contsiners and a bunch of those moisture wicking little packs. My questions are: 1. Can I store different kinds of rice in the same container? 2: how many of those packets per container? 3 does the container have to be filled to the top? Thanks!

Thanks. I found some! And am eager to grow them out for seed this year!

Thanks for asking. Carol Deppe writes about Withners White Cornfield Bean but STRANGELY her company no longer sells it. It can grow in shade in the middle of a cornfield and she also mentioned Genuine Cornfield Bean but said it didn’t produce well in Oregon. I have been unable to find Withner’s anywhere. If anyone knows of where I can, please let me know.

An app called Downdog is good. It’s 14.95 a year sometimes, or free trial then 49 a year. You can pick from a bunch of practices including Hatha or restorative or an active practice. You can pick a “boost” like neck, back, breathing or balance. You can choose any amount of time 10-90 minutes, whether to have background noise or not (nature sounds or what variety of music) as well as volume. You can pick the voice of instructor. And there is a video to watch. Good luck!

I do not know what the humidity level is. My humidifier is at 30% I think and maybe some will go up to the attic. Or seep to the ingested back hall. Cool in the attic. I could bring them into the heated house too. Thanks!

I need advice. I thought I needed to cure my butternut for a few weeks in a warm place, then store in a makeshift cold storage place. That worked last year. This year I have them in my attic to cure, but it’s cold, not warm. Should I bring them into the house for a few weeks where is warmer. I want them to last to the new year.

Thanks!

Hi Leigh!

“I want this book!”

That said, I am not a very successful baker but I try! AND is there a way for me to get a copy or two of your book on growing ginger?!?! Amazon only sells kindle, which I don’t use.
