I put a bunch of beans there freezer because I had weevils and want to get rid of them. Some of the bags of beans had never been opened. How long sloths I leave them in the freezer and can I thaw them out and leave them in the bag like before I froze them? Thanks

Hah! Just tonight I put a bunch of corn BACK in the freezer because I found weevils. Hate those little jerks! I froze all the corn for several weeks last fall.

When you thaw them they will collect moisture from the air until they are warm. Make sure you let the dry again before storing them. I would take them from a plastic bag and put them in paper to prevent mold.

I intend to leave seeds in the freezer for 2-3 days. Plastic bags don't exclude bugs from re-infecting seeds. I put seeds into glass mason jars before freezing.

Please don't put sloths in the freezer. They're tropical creatures. ;)

I usually freeze things for a couple of days. The glass jars are a great way to do it if you have the space in the freezer. No need to "redry" because there's no condensation inside of the jar.
Some critters seem to be able to even get into glass jars. I try to keep everything visible so I can check for infestations.

I would thaw them and wait a fe days then put them in glass jars with about a teaspoon of salt.

At least that is what I have done in the past ...

Thanks everybody! I am moving and don’t have many glass jars anymore, but will try.
