My own stubborn-ness (continuing to dig in the garden despite nagging elbow/forearm pain) left me with elbow tendonitis for like 2 1/2 months. Just thought I'd share how the three key things I did to get rid of it, since I know it's a problem.
1. Give it some rest and when you're ready, stretch everyday. The secret is to do forearm stretches, shoulder stretches, AND wrist stretches.. there's a few at www.mobilitywod.com
2. If you want to speed healing and eliminate inflammation, supplement with joint health nutrients and cissus. I used Elbow Revive simply because it's not expensive, it is effective, and has everything you need in it (www.elbowrevive.com). You could also buy each ingredient separate, but it'd be a pain in the ass.
3. Do eccentric exercises like reverse wrist curls (just google for others). These help strengthen the muscles and tendons so that the injury doesn't return.
After doing all of these three thing religiously for like 6 weeks, I'm feeling like I'm back to where I was before the injury. Hope that helps. Stay healthy, dudes.

paleo bread should be an oxymoron. i appreciate the effort, but trying to recreate these processed foods with "acceptable" ingredients isn't what paleo is all about. stick to real, whole food with a single ingredient, and you'll be happier and healthier. sorry, not trying to be negative.

the sugar cravings should subside once you've stayed with it for awhile. what i find really helps if i get a sugar craving at night, is a spoonful of (natural) peanut butter. it'll raise your blood glucose a bit to satisfy the craving, but you don't have to stray from the diet. just be careful to stick to one spoonful. peanutbutter can be addicting!! lol.

fantastic! love the pic! I'm currently trying to figure out how to create some extra space for "urban gardening" on my fire escape. not sure what they rules/regulations are on that. i'm sure it varies with location, but anyone have any input?

so exciting. I heard tons of great talks at PaleoFX. Some I liked more than others, but in general the direction people with a Paleo mindset are heading in is the right one. Can't wait to see permaculture knowledge spread as rapidly as the Paleo craze has.

As long as they're getting PLENTY of exercise (which should be no problem at all on a farm), Huskies are incredible dogs and are capable of being trained to do just about any task (that a dog is able to perform). Just remember that it is important to establish Alpha dominance early in the relationship and they will be the most loyal and obedient dogs you've ever had!
