You will get a very hot burn, once. Graphit burns like coal in the presence of oxygen.

...well, the reason why "graphite burns like coal" is perhaps the fact that graphite is coal

...idiot-proof simple solution: the hole doesn't  have to be drilled near the skids' end - it can be put way back, even under the structure itself. Thus  you can have as much meat in front of it as you desire (with the drawback of a bit of gymnastics to reach it, but hey, it is only a quick fix).
Also, a big ass nail/piece of rebar/a dry hardwood peg can be driven in vertically just in front of the hole; this would strengthen the ending very significantly

Hope you find the above useful

I think Dan did an excellent job!

1. Intro looks great!

2. "My Stuff" stopped working properly in Edge browser. Only displays "My Transactions", and ignores clicks on other sections (cannot switch to "DM threads - I purchased/rented"). Works fine in Chrome and Firefox

<feeling stupid> - that should've been easy enough </feeling stupid>

Hi Paul,

I appreciate your reply and am a bit hesitant to add to your workload at such a (presumably) hectic time. Here's an example automated message, with my edits into something I would consider easier to grasp, while scanninng quickly a busy inbox (bear in mind, I'm not a native English speaker, so might not be the best at that ):

Hi Michal Byrne,

I am gir bot! A rather limited bot buried deep within the bowels of this forum software.  I come to life once in a while to talk about my favorite things!

I appreciate your reply and existing constraints better now, and really, all the above falls into "nice to have" category; once you figure this out, it is just fine. It might be a bit confusing to figure out initially, that's all.

Many thanks for your work, sense of humor  and pragmatic approach in all that you do!

Michal,
Hi Paul,

If I may suggest something, the "goodies"  emails  are not particularly clear, what they are. While I enjoy your playful style in your daily-ish, however it wasn't clear at all that these "gir bot" whatchmacall it ones, had anything to do with Kickstarter. Took me a while to realize that I DID received those goodies emails from you,  for a few days I thought I got access via "My Stuff",  but no emails, in fact I was  about to write here that I didn't received emails, and only going through my mailbox for the last confirmation, I realized they are the ones.

I would suggest add a line on top, that these are Kickstarter goodies, or better yet flag it in the Subject, or From fields.

Many thanks for your work anyways, and all the best - looking forward to receive my big ass reward k
It truly is beautiful! Materials, workmanship... Appreciate you sharing the journey! I have a question about the size masonry stove; to my untrained eye, looks like an overkill for such modestly sized house - or is it required for capturing the heat, and radiating it slowly for long hours afterwards?

All the best,
Michal
Hi guys,

Why do you think Nitinol motor is a "free energy" device, much less a suppressed one? It requires two separate temp sources (hot source & cold sink), as such, it is a variation of thermodynamic engine... it is no more "free energy", than your average diesel . Now, it could potentially run on waste heat, but "free energy" it is not!
