Hats off to you and everyone else here on Permies.  This site has been a never ending font of useful ideas and answers to questions I have had on my journey towards self sufficiency.  I like the apple and pie system and the lack of useless responses to questions.  Plus it also makes for entertaining reading along the way.  Thanks again for all you do here.

Just looking for off grid building ideas for my 45 acre homestead in south central MO.  It is usual ozark rocky clay soil, on a southern slope...I have a good level building site and am looking to do a 30' round house.  Conisdering a mix of cob and cordwood with a living roof.  Suggestions?

I bought 45 acres in Texas county with my wife.  two seasonal creeks, drilled well (I use a bucket and rope)..raw land.  I am absolutely in love with it.  Coming from the everglades of Florida originaly I happen to think the humidity level is wonderful.  of course I am used to 100% year round.

Lief, I actually just purchased 45 acres of south to southwest slope...basicly 3 ridge tops in sw / s central mo.  love the area.  Come on in the waters fine!
