I was thinking the same thing, but put a lot of thought into this, seeking my local energy provider would be worthless, they could be to profit - For instance solar panels don’t produce higher electricity output if it’s hotter, that’s a myth…

People neglect this every day, saying climate change is a hoax, and that alternative sources of power that create less fossil fuels for energy are a hoax as well. That’ why big companies come up with ecological reasons to say it is ‘over rated’… because you’re still burning fossil fuels in your kitchen every day, so all we can really do is think of alternatives and accept global warming is real. You do not need to do nothing, you can still reduce fossil fuels and pollution contributing to to a worsened GHG effect.

So I am really doing a better job for two things, me and the environment by switching to solar, not using an alternative...

I checked out prices here for Litchfield Park, AZ 85340, an average 164 electricity bill says my cost for the whole 6.9 kW unit is $11,759

Check out the solar price checker I used on the site

I'm thinking about what to do to get started with construction, want to install traditional and passive solar on the home once I am done with construction, so far have found some property off grid but I am trying to keep home construction costs under two thousand dollars.

This is what I got on Wikipedia so I am not sure you're on the right track here,

Entomophagy (/ˌɛntəˈmɒfədʒi/, from Greek ἔντομον éntomon, "insect", and φᾰγεῖν phagein, "to eat") is the human use of insects as food. The eggs, larvae, pupae, and adults of certain insects have been eaten by humans from prehistoric times to the present day.[1]

So how is eating insects as food going to help out?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entomophagy
