Nice video for inspiration!
Not sure the average person would have the tools or skills to do this level of restoration but don't let that stop you.
There is plenty of cutlery out there that need minor restoration that you can hone your skills on.  Many times you will end up with a better quality knife that you could otherwise afford..
There are many knife supply companies out there that make it much easier for the average person to do the necessary repairs with minimal equipment.
I found a DASCO 120-8 HAND MADE clever for $15 that needs only the edge reworked and blade staining. The quality of the clever compared to most modern ones on the market makes it worthy of a little love and attention.

Once I had the misfortune of a deer being hit in front of my house. I used my kid's wagon to move the deer  down the road and into the woods. The deer didn't fit very well inside the wagon and there would have to be a lot of traffic driving by very slowly. I got the strangest looks from the neighbors.

Nice  pond demonstration on a small scale.
Years ago I used to do some soil testing and found that many times the contractor thought that the soil at the job site contained clay. When we did lost by  wash and sieve analysis most of the time a high percentage of silt was present which also seals a pond well. A simple field test that we did was to take a small ball of moist soil in your hand and squeeze. If you get an inch or longer ribbon of soil between your pointer finger and thumb, chances are good that it contains some clay.
Hope this helps someone better identify their soil and isn't to off topic.

Considering  the recent weather events. Alcohol fuel may become more widely used. Lighting and cooking with alcohol fuel was used in the early 1900s as well as cars. Looking at making an aircrete alcohol stove for heating rooms where rocket mass heater is to heavy.

This recipe is insanely good but your heat might not be able to handle it.

Death By Alfredo

In a medium saucepan combine over low heat.

1- stick of butter
1- 16 ounce carton of sour cream
1- 8 ounce package of cream cheese
1/3 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Stir constantly until everything melts and combines.
Place over your favorite pasta and garnish with chopped parsley leaves.
I know what I'm making for Valentine's day. 😋
