I am just now getting my greenhouse up and running (well walking the first steps).  I was wondering what people use to monitor the temp in greenhouse?

Looking to be a year round greenhouse.

Put the plastic and shade cover up Saturday. Getting real closet to finishing it, if that is possible.

Thanks all for your replies.   Any real life info helps!  Dean let me know if the 2 fans help move air and how much if you would.  Burl I have looked in to these, in fact I bought on and trying to make it work.  Judith I am in the same boat,  solar exhaust fan cost a lot and I am always trying to find a cheaper work around.  please let me know how the attic fan works.   Mike that is my plan to use as much passive vent as possible just wondering if a lower cost solar fan would help the process.  Again thanks all for the info

Sorry Yes the greenhouse double layer inflated plastic.  

I was going to tape the top of the rafters that come in contact with the plastic. Is this a needed step?  I was concerned about rubbing and tear up the plastic

Thanks so much for the info it is great.   Now that I am going with plastic my rafters do not have to as close.  I was looking at 3 to 4 apart.  Is 4 foot to far for the plastic?  yours look farther than that but you have the curve,  Main will go straight.

Mike two quick questions.  I am going with plastic sheet now instead of polycarbonate,  Cost was way to much.

How is the 1.5" between sheets working?  I read you use a pump for a couple of hours for condensation.  Any advice?

Do you use a shade cloth in the summer?
