I treated myself to a title (via an Established Titles micro-plot) about two years ago and enjoy being Lady Carola, though I've told only my family and a few friends along the way. It's just a joke but oddly it lifted my spirits - and it was a clever fund-raiser for a good cause. It's also a way to bypass the tedious question of "Miss, Ms or Mrs?".
