I love bling.  Especially pearls. I have a string of black freshwater pearls and some Tahitians. I work in an office so I wear them to work. A really great website gor vintage jewellery is 100 Ways out of BC. Nice vintage and some antique pieces.

Laurels kitchen bread book of whole grain baking has great recipes. The buttermilk bread is awesome. Does ask for butter tho but no enhancers.

Anybody familiar with this book? I tried the desem recipe and it was ok, and want to try again. Anyone have experience with this recipe?

Hurray for you getting out of your comfort zone. It is how we grow as people. I am sure it will go well. Don't be afraid to ask for help from interested parties.

I live on Cape Breton Island near the Bras D'Or Lakes. I used to garden a lot more than I do now, but want to get back into it. I recently planted some asparagus in a raised bed  (in the fall! ) so am looking forward to the spring to see if they survive. Climate is moderate, not too cold in te winter. Of course this is relative to Northern Ontario, where I used to live. Very damp most of the year, except summer can be hot and humid for a few days. we are in zone 5b.

Good morning from Nova Scotia! I just joined this forum. I have an interest in permaculture, having always been interested in gardening. I may ask stupid questions, so I apologize in advance. HIya!
