I got nothing from Kickstarter, even though I signed up for the notification.

Mike it could be something in your kickstarter account settings (e-mail notifications).

I've got their notification fine and on time, in fact I got two e-mails from KS - one from "notify on launch" and other as a backer of previous campaings from Paul (+ permies mail ).

I'll have to look into that, thanks. I did get an email from them after I backed the project.

Wow!

In your spam?

So far about 200 people have backed the kickstarter by clicking on the email sent from kickstarter at the moment of launch.

OK, that's good, thanks Paul. Must be something with my email. I clicked through the link in the permies email, if you're tracking that as well, although it is a different email than the one I use for kickstarter.

Not there, just checked. Very weird.

I visited the link again, this time on a computer (Firefox browser) and not logged in. Saw three options and ordered through Stripe. After the order went through I received a yellow pop up on Permies that asked for my email address to complete the order. Entered the address, all good.
I tried two different mobile browsers on iOS, not logged in, and only see Coinbase and PayPal options, no Stripe.
Oh! Welcome Yury. This is a very timely and useful giveaway.

Following as well. Was looking into these a couple of weeks ago, they look to be very versatile based on the videos I saw. Would like to get one to use on the homestead this Spring, just one size that would be the most common used. Wondering which would be the best. We wouldn't have anything tall to cut, only small property gardens.

Jeff Marchand wrote:Does anyone have any experience with cast iron on induction ?  Sounds like it would be a no brainer, but Ive found that many things that are obviously true have considerations that are nt obvious.  Such as will the cast iron scratch the stove top?  One of my pans has 1/8th inch ring around the bottom, does that mean that only the frying surface above the ring will directly get hot?  Thanks.

We use cast iron cookware, frying pans as well as coated cast iron (Le Creuset) Dutch ovens on our induction cooktop daily. The most important consideration is a smooth surface on the bottom for good contact with the induction area. The cast iron heats relatively quickly, and responds quickly to temperature setting changes. We haven't had any issues with scratching of the glass surface of the cooktop, but we are careful with the cast iron.
