My best friend on 30 years is currently living on my property in a 12x16 cabin we built and I recently (last week) drove my old RV up there. Camping is great but a hot shower is such a luxury. Update… I think I might be loosing hope with this online community stuff. So far I haven’t seen any “community” in any of the places I have visited. Am I doing this wrong? I’d honestly like some help if that’s the case. But still looking. It was a long shot for me to begin with. Hope someone is having better luck than I am.

My property is in Person County. It’s near Mayo Lake. It’s about 5 miles south of Virginia. I’m currently in the Tampa/St Pete area. How’s the homestead going? Are you off grid? I’m planning on an off grid homestead. My good friend is going to be coming up with me. He lived off grid in Colorado for 3 years. We figured 13 acres is plenty to split. Do you have anyone helping?

The beard is a little more gray than brown these days. I honestly just want to share a simple life filled with simple pleasures with a woman who wants the same.
