Hello!🌿 I’m a 33-year-old woman with a big dream and an open heart, looking for a male life partner to share in creating a homestead and a meaningful, adventurous life together. I have some freedom to relocate right now, and my dream is to find an old farmhouse or Victorian home near the East Coast or Appalachian Mountains to turn into a cozy bed and breakfast or antique shop, or both! I picture a warm, welcoming space where we can live simply, meet wonderful people, and enjoy the satisfaction of self-sustaining living.

While I’m fully capable of building this dream on my own, I’d much rather share it with someone so we can grow, laugh, and flourish together. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who’s handy and brings skills that complement my own. I’m nurturing, organized, and creative, and I love taking care of people and creating cozy, beautiful spaces. I prefer traditional roles, value genuine partnership, and hope to build a family someday.

A bit about me: I’m outgoing, funny, spontaneous, and warm, the kind of person who can strike up a conversation with anyone but also loves a quiet, cozy night in. Pretty, but not perfect. I adore being on or in the water, listening to live music, and traveling. My guilty pleasure is anything paranormal! I love the idea of being able to pause the B&B for a couple of weeks and go volunteer with elephants in Thailand, because life is exactly what you make it, and I want ours to be full of adventure and purpose. I’ve been looking at multi-family homes throughout the East Coast and Appalachian region that would make it easy to rent and essentially pay the mortgage/bills.

🧺Just to add, I’m not desperate to fit someone into this vision. I’m simply putting my feelers out to see if there’s someone whose dreams align with mine. I’d like my partner to be able to contribute equally, both emotionally and financially, because I’ve worked hard to bring my self-sustaining dreams to life, and I want my partner to feel that same sense of pride and value in what we build together.

I’m pretty easygoing when it comes to lifestyle. I don’t mind someone who enjoys a drink or smokes now and then, just not in excess. Definitely no hard drugs or addiction issues. And fair warning: I do have tattoos! It’s come up before on here for some reason, but I promise they don’t bite. 😄

If this vision speaks to you and you can see yourself in it, I’d truly love to hear from you! I’m happy to exchange photos as well ☺️🧵

I’m not dead set on any area, I’m open to ideas! I’ve just been in the south for a couple of years now, and I’m missing cooler weather. I like mountains, harbor towns, rivers, etc ☺️

Also on the other side of the country from your current locale. Maybe our visions could align, but currently I don't even have a house which is an important detail. But I am coastal and in the mountains!

Came here mostly to comment about your tattoos- did people give you flack for having tattoos? That's absurd. Almost everyone I know out here has at least one if not multiple. Rock those tattoos and forget the haters!

Hey Katie! How bout a friend? You sound awesome and I love your idea. I'm 34F. My dream is to create a tech free community so people can get away from electronics and electricity. If we combine both of our dreams, we can create a B&B without electricity where people can rest from modern society. Haha i'd love that myself.

Hey Katie. I’m currently in Florida but actively building an off grid homestead/community in north central NC. My best friend on 30 years is currently living on my property in a 12x16 cabin we built and I recently (last week) drove my old RV up there. Camping is great but a hot shower is such a luxury. If you’d like to chat and share ideas let me know.

I LOVE THAT! What a cool idea! I actually grew up near an Amish community as a kid, and found it amazing how they built and did all these amazing things with NO ELECTRICITY! 😮

Hi Katie,
I love your vision. I have lots of ideas but all of them involve a partner so that’s what I’m looking for first.
I love traveling and having the ability to take off for a few weeks without having to find someone to take my responsibilities while I’m gone sounds appealing.
I do construction and electrical work, so building and maintaining structures is totally within my skill set.
I’m from Indiana and would love to live anywhere in the Appalachians.
35, never married, no kids. I’m fine with tattoos in general but may be bothered with them depending on what and where they are.

How about West Coast? Love your vision!
I’m 44 and homesteading 6 acres the last four years on a small island off the coast of Washington state.
