Biography
A few weeks ago I learned there’s something called permaculture and I felt in love. Now I’m studying for my Permaculture Design Certification. Yesterday I learned about SKIP and now I’m obsessed because this is my goal in life, to run a successful organic homestead, and I had no idea this was even possible. So, here are some (not all) of my skills:
I am a designer. I can make all sorts of product designs, lettering, advertising, etc.
I worked in NYC as a paralegal. I have exceptional organizational abilities. I can manage files, clients, stay on top of daily/weekly tasks and meetings.
I’ve been homesteading for the past four years. I cook everything from scratch. I also make many of my toiletries and other household items. If I can make it, I won’t buy it.
I specialize in holistic plant based diets: cancer diet, anti-fungal diets, dairy free, and gluten free diets. I bake sourdough bread weekly. I mill my own flour. I can and preserve all sorts of produce and meals.
I know how to sew (machine and manual) and make all sorts of crafts.
Right now I’m working on my Permaculture Design Certification. It is my goal to become a regenerative land counselor and a clean living advocate.
I’m also learning how to garden
I’ve worked with children, the elderly, and people of all ages in many Christian ministries. I’m very compassionate. I’m honest, dedicated, focused, and deeply religious.
I have exceptional references from people I’ve worked or dealt with. I’ve never been fired of a job or evicted.
I’ll be working hard on, and updating my SKIP badges and progress in case anyone is interested. My hope is to find a landowner who is looking for more than a land manager to pass his/her land to. I will take care of you, like if I was your daughter. Thanks for your time.

Well, I’m new to permaculture. Basically a few weeks old. LOL. But, this is what attracted me to permaculture…. First, I learned the conventional way to garden. For years I’ve been following influencers telling me how to keep the rules of gardening. It wasn’t until recently that I learned something called permaculture and all of a sudden gardening the conventional way lost all its appeal. So much, I'm learning to unlearn everything I've learned. That “gardening/farming” is what most people know, but permaculture is gardening and farming on steroids. When you show people what it takes to put an egg on their table and the impact that that has on the environment, followed by a picture of someone picking their eggs out of their backyard, that’s impactful. It is powerful. We have a gift to humanity, they’re just not aware of it, yet. I was ignorant. It only took a person to show me there’s a better way.

Here we go again because I messed up my first submission. This time I read the guidelines. Haha. I just remembered that I bought my first cast iron set like 10 years ago and I got rid of it because everything was sticking. I hated it. I could have searched for a video but, I didn’t. A video could have saved my gut from keep feeding it with teflon… 10 years later, I was watching videos and saw someone doing this and I was, like, uhhhh… duh. 😂 City folks…

So, here I am. Owning it 😂, like a boss 😎 (the video opens on a different window for some reason)

Silly me. I just realized I needed to submit a video. I’ll post it tomorrow

As a designer I can attest that when I create a design, I follow certain rules, it could be size, texture, purpose, etc. Look around and you will find the same environments being replicated again and again. Everything is harmonious and that’s because nothing is random. Everything follows an established order from up above to serve humans down below. See Ps 8 and 19

Are you still looking for people with same mindset and values? I am interested to learn more. Thanks so much in advance

I think 😅I’m interested. Same here. Very spiritual. Tons of talents. Very articulate and interesting. Haha! I’m new to gardening though, but, I’m studying for my PDC. It could be an amazing practice for my designs. 🤪 Is Michigan colder than SD?

I chop turmeric and ginger in the food processor, then put everything in little ice cube trays. Whenever I want some tea, I take 2-3 little cubes out of the freezer. I also put in soups or any recipe that calls for those. I also freeze lemon juice when they are about to turn bad and keep them ready for an easy and refreshing lemonade.
