This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Natural Building.

For this BB, you will build an operating window, including frame from scratch!

Simple Window Making from Start to Finish:

Minimum Requirements are:
  - operating window, including frame from scratch
  - Must open/close
  - Build all pieces from wood, cut and fit
  - Install glazing (glass, single or double is good; waxed paper or oiled animal skin is good too.)
  - Window sill must shed water aggressively
  - Tight enough seal to keep ants or equivalently sized critters (and thus drafts) out

To document completion of the BB, provide proof of the following:
     - materials for construction at the build site
     - partway through the build
     - finished operating window meets the above requirements

I suggest huckleberry pie. But the only thing on the gluten free menu is this tiny ad:
Switching from electric heat to a rocket mass heater reduces your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars
