This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the iron badge in Animal Care.

For this Badge Bit, you will breed and nurture chickens!

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
 - all general requirements stated for the Animal Care Iron Badge
 - all requirements in the Animal Care Iron Badge specified under the section "Provide proof that you are breeding and nurturing 12 animal species"
 - Prove you are nurturing your chickens
     - Chicken breeding program to favor good egg production and foraging on your property
     - Minimum of 100 chickens from hatch to 3 months old under broody hens (no incubators)
     - Winter bug feed system
     - Additional fats and oils in the winter
     - Swings, tethercabbage or similar activities for entertainment in winter
     - Grow winter feed systems

To show you've completed this Badge Bit, you must provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 mins):
- photo essay about nurturing the chickens
- parasite checks throughout the season
- proof of pampering the chickens that approaches level 7
