This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Textiles.
For this BB, you will repair the woven seat or back on a chair or stool.
"Wicker," "caned," and "woven" are popular terms for chairs on which reed or fiber webbing forms either the seat or the back of the chair or both. These terms are often used interchangeably, but when they need repair it's important to understand which one you're working with.
Woven chair seats are made with rope or wider binding strands than caned seats. These are woven around the seat frame rungs. Also called a wide binding cane seat, porch cane, or binder cane seat, this technique creates a double layer of cane. The following articles and videos will show you how to weave a chair seat.

To document completion of the BB, provide proof of the following as pictures or a video (<2 minutes):
- The chair or stool before repairing the seat
- The materials you will use for the repair
- You making the repair
- The newly repaired seat/back
