This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Round Wood Woodworking.

As your roundwood construction skills are improving, it's time to make things that are elegant while still being sturdy.  How about one of those fancy swinging rustic log benches?  Perhaps you built the frame for it already, let's finish the job with a bench!

And here's our friend making one:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a roundwood bench for a swing
  - At least 5' wide
  - Back rest and arm rests
  - Joints involve custom tailored contact between wood surfaces (not round on round)
  - Can easily support Uncle Frank and Uncle Charlie (500 lbs total)

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Logs you're starting with
  - Construction underway
  - Close up of joinery
  - Finished swinging bench

They weren't very bright, but they were very, very big. Ad contrast:
