This is a badge bit (
BB) that is part of the

Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.
Older houses often have crown molding. It looks pretty nifty but can be a challenge to install due to the angles of the cuts needed. Let's install or replace some crown molding in a room!
Here's Tommy Silva showing us how to do it:
Minimum requirements:
- Install crown molding around the perimeter of a room
- This is trim that bridges from the wall to the ceiling
- Not a flat piece of trim as in baseboard situations
- Use real
wood, not an engineered product
- Nails or brads, no adhesives except if you want to glue miters and scarfs together
- Tight gaps in all joints. Clearly smaller gaps than the thickness of a credit card.
Provide proof of the following as pictures or
video (<2 min):
- The room in need of crown molding
- The molding you're going to install
- Midway through the install
- Finished crown molding installation showing each corner has tight joints
