Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Forge a spade or shovel
  - At least 3" wide
  - Somewhat sharp
  - Forged out from thicker stock, not a piece of sheet metal
  - Intended for digging in dirt, not scooping grain, ashes, etc
  - Socket or handle is the same piece of metal as the spade/shovel
        - No rivets or welding, except forge welding is allowed

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The project underway
  - The finished project
