Click on the thumbs up for this video if you would support evan's patreon at $5 per month if it got you early access to videos of these workshops. And if there was a promise of at least two videos per month.

Hey guys, I'm intrigued. I'd be interested in heading out for the Pioneer workshop, but I'm from NC so I'd be flying into Spokane (my mom's a flight attendant-- lucky me eh). I was wondering if you think it'd be possible to hitch a ride from Spokane out to Missoula. If that's a success, would someone be able to come pick me up from Missoula?

Couples Week (February 9 - 14) - $100/couple (4 of 4 spots left)

For lovers<...>! Come spend a romantic week <...>

Minimum supplies to bring:
- Bedding (for sleeping on the floor of wofati 0.8)

Sooooo... I'll try to be delicate here. How about the part of romance where couples like to be alone together sometimes?

Brandon, a ride from Missoula can definitely be arranged. Maybe other folks are coming from the same direction and might want to split the cost of gas money.

Mike, there's a couple hundred acres of woodland out here wherein a determined couple might be able to find some alone time together. I suppose a determined couple might arrange to spend a night or few in the tipi. Or arrange to stay in one of the other structures on the lab. I suppose if a couple was determined enough they might throw together a debris shelter and stay in that. That'd even be an achievement, I reckon.

Pioneers Week will begin in just a few days!

The schedule is designed, (in theory,) to give attendees who deign to follow it the opportunity to earn at least one achievement in each of the six categories. Industrious and determined folk will naturally be able to achieve more, and attendees are welcome to follow their inclinations to substitute activities and specialize as they please.

Right now the exact details of these achievements will remain mysteriously unspecified, but as soon as they are handed out, the cat will be out of the bag and the requirements and prerequisites of each achievement will be spelled out here.

I just updated this thread to be the brand new style of "wiki page with comments".

So this means that evan has the ability to edit/polish the first post. As does all staff and pollinators.

There's nothing arbitrary about those categories! We lifted them straight from Settlers of Catan!

True, but technically, Sun is from Plants vs Zombies.

Also, I may as well mention here that PEA Workshops have been officially approved by Paul as a backdoor into the gapper program. So if y'all were thinking about trying out the gapper life at wheaton labs, consider attending one of these workshops. They're cheaper, (the next one is just $50 instead of the $100 gapper fee,) they're a great way to hit the ground running with practical experience and useful skills, and plus you can earn Sun, and Wood and Clay and Sheep and such... Just to be clear, if you come out to a workshop and end up deciding that you want to be a gapper, you won't need to pay the gapper fee because you'll already be here.

Do you wanna build a snow-ant? Artists Week starts tomorrow! Jim and Kai will be joining me this time and we've got lots of crazy art projects planned. It's too late to join us for Artists Week, but you can still sign up for Pardners Week. Two for the price of one is a pretty sweet deal, so grab a friend and come on out!

A couple things:

We were having some technical difficulties with the signup form, so for folks who signed up in the past week, please go ahead and go through the signup process again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Also, instead of the workshops being week-long events, they've all been condensed to weekends (Friday through Sunday.) This doesn't mean that you can't come out for a whole week, or longer, but hopefully the focus on weekends will allow more folks to attend who might otherwise find it difficult to take time off of work.
