Comfortable steel toed boots?

Hey All,
I've been wearing some not so comfortable steel toed boots that I found at a bargain basement price a couple years ago. They are about done for so I wondered what I should get next, this time I can spend a bit more - i'm thinking not more than $150. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Some of the folks I used to work with wore safety tennis shoes with special composite toes. Supposedly much more comfortable than steel toed boots.

Keen safety toes are pretty much the go-to for everyone I know.  Very comfortable and around the price point you mentioned, usually $120 or so.  The toes box is wider so it never crunches your toes the way some safety toe shoes do.  Not steel though.  Composite toe.  Much lighter than steel.

I've been wearing a Timberland pro  esd  slip on and a tie on both with steel toes.
I love them, very lite, can't tell at all its a steel toe. Easy on and off with the slip on pair.
My only complaint is if you crawl around on concrete the leather toe will quickly wear thru.
My slip ons now have a painted on epoxy sand coating...
Sized large so order a smaller size than you might normally wear.

The most comfortable steel toes boots that I have ever owned are Thorogood brand boots. They are soft leather that don't need a break-in period and lighter weight than most boots.

I will second Trace's recommendation of Keen.  I wear a 'tennis shoe' style lately that is light weight and comfortable.  These are still my go to for work, especially when in slacks.

These are steel toe (correction aluminum but the same OSHA safety rating as steel.) and light enough I can actually jog in them.

Steel-toed boots would have helped me, a couple days ago, when my sweet, but determined goat buck escaped (as of last night, we're up to 5 times, in the last 3 or 4 days - anyone want a sweet, fluffy, hilarious Houdini buck?). My really good quality, comfy, heavy-duty hiking boots are normally perfect, for my farm work, but Kola managed to bruise the top of my foot, just above the toes - and the slip on one's would be perfect. The problem for me is finding good steel toes that fit. I wear a 7.5 (USA) in women's, which translates roughly to a men's 5.5 - which I can't find, anywhere. Thoughts, please?

So i have got to say i am a blundstone person through and through. Quite a lot of members of my community have them. They seem to be popular.
I have two pairs. Having two allows the other one to dry out before it gets worn again. Hopefully this will help them last longer. The  boots slip on easily and its hard to tell that they have a steel toe in them at all.

Great recommendations! Slip on and steel toed sounds quite luxurious, I am going to try some of those.

I used to get issued Bellevue steel toed boots from the army. They were spectacularly comfortable and if they didn't weight 40 pounds each I woulda worn them every day! Not sure if they come in anything other than coyote color though.

I also got a pair of composite toe boots when I lived in Alaska (too cold for steel? Maybe?) and they were great. Way better than steel as you can barely tell the difference in weight. I wish I could tell you who made them.
