I asked my brother Brian, a firefighter, to film an old food forest project I planted years ago.

This is what he sent me:

I planted that little backyard patch of fruit trees and nutrient accumulators years ago and when I found out he was going to be there, I said "Brian - can you film that for me?"
"I don't know any of the plant names," he said.
"Just do your best," I replied. "Be funny. Be yourself."

And he was. And I laughed my head off.

Yeah, my little sister is funny too:

I really was hoping for a solid tour of the food forest so I could see what was happening, but there's no way to contain Brian's humor. And this is better anyhow.

The yamoothie!!! I can't stop laughing about it. I had to share with my husband, and he was cracking up, too. The yam was still covered in dirt when it went in, and it took sooooo long to blend up. So rediculous and so funny!

Thank you--and your sister!--for brightening my family's day!

I loved the faceplant in the river.  That's exactly what I look like in my garden...every day.

Oh my gosh you have to get this out and publish in a bigger mainstream forum.  This is hilarious and deserves much attention.  Maybe Geoff Lawton could publish in his material.  The light-hearted look at a food forest.

Who in the world would have rated these as 'not liking' them?

@Roy - thank you.

I don't know why the Yamfit vid in particular hasn't gone viral - it's so ridiculous, and my sister plays it perfectly. Probably because I'm not on social media and so it's not getting shared.

@Jennifer

The amazing thing about that fall in the river was it was completely unplanned. I was standing on top of an old dam, running the camera when I saw Christi slip and fall in the river. My heart jumped in my throat as I feared the worst - the rocks were mean, and I imagined she might have gone down on her head. I left the camera and started for her - carefully, because everything was slick with algae - and then she popped up again, laughing. Whew. When we reviewed the footage, we both laughed, and hence the "coordination" line was added.

Well, I just happen to have moderator privilages on the Permies Facebook page, so now Yamfit is shared!

This link may or may not take you to it.... https://www.facebook.com/PermiesCommunity/posts/1059164417566663?notif_id=1532984735529770¬if_t=page_post_reaction

The yameoke was Christi's idea. She's a total ham - we had a blast.

Just stumbled on this, thank you for filming these, and sharing them.

"The Shmee-shmaw tree" line had nearly spitting water on my laptop.

I needed a good laugh; thank you.

Just let me do the talking. Ahem ... so ... you see ... we have this tiny ad...
