This sterile variety of comfrey grows very well in our USDA zone 9 Mediterranean climate.
Comfrey has been used for thousands of years as a medicinal herb as well as a fertility builder for the land.

We sell the Bocking-14 form of comfrey, which will not produce viable seed.
Bocking-14 comfrey is the most desirable cultivar for making a tea to fertilize your garden with an NPK ratio 1.8 / 0.5 /5.3.
Comfrey is a dynamic accumulator of nutrients, most notably iron, silicon, nitrogen, potassium, calcium, magnesium and many trace minerals.

Save money on animal feed! Comfrey is used worldwide as an animal fodder. Dried comfrey leaves contain 26% protein.
Although some animals enjoy comfrey fresh, if you find your animals do not like fresh comfrey, offer them comfrey which
has wilted for a day or dried completely. The little silicon "hairs" on the leaves sometimes bother animals, though the problem
is solved by allowing the leaves to wilt first. Comfrey is the only plant which harvests vitamin B-12 from the soil!
Use comfrey leaves to turbo-charge your compost pile, especially piles made predominately made from carbon
heavy "browns" like dry leaves, straw, brush, wood chips or shavings, etc.

I want to get some comfrey root cuttings. Your video is great, but I don't see a price. I would like to get a small order to start in Florida, but I also plan on taking some of these to Cochabamba, Bolivia, where I am trying out some permaculture in my little garden. I am particularly interested in using this plant for health and healing. So the plan is to start these cuttings at my sons home in Tarpon Springs, FL - leave some for his garden and then hopefully take 3 or 4 home from there in my suitcase after only about a month, so they will be planted in little pots, but not showing any growth yet. I hope they do well in these warmer climates! So what will an order cost plus shipping to florida?

That link is no longer live.  Neither is the main page for http://marshcreek.farm as listed in another thread.

has an L at the end of htm, and gets me to the right place. I got there by clicking on the link that was shown, then going to "Russian Comfrey"  (The Bocking 14 is a Russian cultivar)
I put notes with the correct link all through this thread.

I was poking around seeing what the pie offers are these days.  I already have comfrey but I really appreciate your clear instructions on how to turn your comfrey into easy to use first aid supplies.  When my mother cracked a thigh bone a couple years ago I don't think the salve I came up with was quite as hood as your recipe.   It was very messy to use and so we only use it in worst case scenarios.  She was hiking across multiple mountain ranges only a few weeks later so it works well... now I just need to source some beeswax.
