Sourcing Bulk Food Grade Hydrated Lime / Slated Lime / CAL Lime / Calcium Hydroxide in Canada???

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for sourcing moderate amounts of Food Grade Hydrated Lime in Canada?

I found a local Ethnic Food store that carried tiny couple tablespoon bags of the stuff, and I can get Ms. Wages Pickling Lime for like $20 for some fraction of a pound. But I cannot find any stores or online businesses that ship outside of America with reasonable shipping prices.

The best I have seen so far is Bulk foods.com, from which I can get 20 lbs for about $120 CAD. Perhaps not an atrocious price, but even if we assume I don't get hit by boarder taxes it is too much for my comfort. I am ideally looking for something close to half that or at least 3/4s.

I am willing to buy a lifetimes supply of the stuff, but want it for a couple bucks a pound.

Try going to a farm supply (fertilizer and such) store. My son worked in a farm supply warehouse in BC and they carried all kinds of Food Grade stuff.

$23 Can for 1 lb. ?

Jon was looking at aroun $6 / lb.

I picked some up here the other week for $5mx ($.40 Can) for a kilo.
