This was my first time creating a new post on permits and I don't see what I wrote, just the pics so am posting again in reply.

Well, I returned last weekend from a deeply meaningful, adventurous solo camping adventure from IL across Colorado to Moab. I camped remotely on BLM land which I've never done before. Lots of room to roam and let my mind roam as well. I realized my dream to live some type of permaculture lifestyle (just starting to learn) needs to start moving forward now and I want a partner to share this life with.

I'm 49 yo, university business advisor, living quite rurally right now but in an apartment. I am very open-minded, tend to lean liberal with a healthy distaste for politics after all we've been through. I usually get tagged as outgoing but am really an introvert as I get my energy from peaceful time hiking in nature. I practice yoga every day, love to read (just finished The Overstory, beautiful tapestry of short stories centered on trees) and cook (mostly plant-based). I am spiritual and not at all religious. Probably the last quality that I'd want to give up about myself is my sense of humor. So important to laugh at just about everything, eventually.

I am seeking someone who shares some similar interests, really seeks to deeply know one another through thoughtful, open communication, and knows himself well. I am open to where geographically and prefer to be near water.

Oh, and must love dogs. I have a wee mini pin/chihuahua who is every bit as adventurous as I am.

I could write more but the more I write the more likely I am t analyze and never post it. Feel free to reply here or moosage if any of this resonates or anyone cares to guide me to another resource for meeting permie folks.

Good things,
Diana

Hi Diana
It is nice to see another Permies leaning on the liberal side and disgusted with politics. I wish you well as I have now found that city life is for me but I really enjoyed my younger years hiking the Appalachian trail and other long distance trails and living a much simpler life just short of off grid living.

HI Dianna Lyn

I am new here and never even posted an add but I did see your beautiful pic and read on.I am very much an outdoorsman with the hands on skills and resources too handle pretty much anything.I am a logger practising sustainable harvests of quality timber. My past is a complete outdoor history as a trapper, guide and a commercial fisherman.I am not off grid but live on edge of the wilds of Canada in a log home I build here on a river 38 years ago.I do grow all my own food and still do some hunting for game.I have considered taking a complete plunge off grid but at 60 I enjoy the comforts in a beautiful rural setting.I do own about 500 acres that is remote that would over the perfect place to start over and I spend each summer there logging in my RV.
I do see we are a world apart but like minded people are rare.I am searching for a place too attach a pic here but don't see one.My email is logger48@hotmail.com
                                                                         Take care,Danny
