I have recently been getting into growing out beans and have been fascinated by the variations I have been able to find online. Although my growing season is short I have grown bush semi-runner runner and pole beans in this zone 4A northern Wisconsin climate. I am looking for anyone who wants to trade beans to increase the diversity in their garden and collection. Here is Beans for trade:
Hopi purple String bean -semi runner
Flambo- dry bush
Vt cranberry - dry bush
1500 year old cave bean -pole
Succotash - pole
Hidatsa shield - pole
Royal burgundy - snap bush
Dapple Grey -bush
Zebra - semi runner
Snowcap - bush dry -
Tiger eye -bush dry
Kebarka - bush dry
More to list....that is just a start.

Oh! This reminds me I owe you a seed package -- we arranged it before I went camping for a week. I'll make sure to include beans. :)  (I just put "seeds for joe" on a sticky note in the workspace so I won't forget about you again.)

The only beans I have plenty of at this time are Tenderette & Slenderette.  Both are thinner French filet-type green snap bush beans with white seeds that mature to about Navy/Great Northern Bean size.  If you want some, feel free to PM me.  Otherwise, we can try again after I attempt to grow out many more varieties next year....so long as the critters leave them alone, lol.

Think of how dumb the average person is. Mathematically, half of them are EVEN DUMBER. Smart tiny ad:
